Carboxytherapy: Cellulite, Stretch Mark, and Water Retention Reduction
Carboxytherapy is a medical treatment that uses micro-injections of carbon dioxide (CO₂) to reactivate circulation and oxygenate tissues. In our clinics in Preganziol (Treviso), Jesolo, and Bergamo, we use it to visibly reduce cellulite, water retention, and stretch marks.
What is Carboxytherapy and How Does It Work?
Carboxytherapy is a medical aesthetic treatment that uses localized micro-injections of medical-grade carbon dioxide (CO₂).
The injection of CO₂ produces two main beneficial effects:
- Vasodilation: It instantly increases blood flow in the treated area, improving microcirculation.
- Increased Oxygenation: By perceiving the CO₂, the body releases more oxygen to that area, revitalizing the tissues.
This process reactivates metabolism, promotes the drainage of excess fluids, and stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen.
When is Carboxytherapy Recommended?
This treatment is extremely versatile and is the ideal solution for those who wish to:
- Reduce cellulite and the appearance of “orange peel” skin.
- Combat water retention and leg swelling.
- Fade stretch marks (especially more recent, red/purple ones).
- Improve skin tone on the abdomen, arms, and inner thighs.
Treatable Areas
Carboxytherapy is effective on various areas of the body:
- Legs, buttocks, and abdomen (for cellulite and localized fat)
- Arms (for skin laxity)
- Neck and décolleté (to improve texture)
The Treatment
- Duration: The session is very quick, approximately 20-30 minutes.
- Procedure: A slight temporary discomfort or stinging sensation is felt during the injection, which disappears within seconds.
- Protocol: For effective results, a cycle of 5-10 sessions is required, usually on a weekly basis.
